"Veranda Park is truly one of my favorite facilities. As an owner and RN for Interim HealthCare, I get the pleasure of traveling to our seven Interim Home Care locations from Medford, OR, to San Jose, CA, and there is something about Veranda Park that captures your heart. Maybe it is because my roots are in Wisconsin, and the interior design mixed with thefriendly staff take me back to my fondest North woods memories ... it makes me feel like I am home again."

My husband and I retired to Medford from Northern California April 2009. We love the mild seasons, all the natural beauty of the area (mountains, coastline, wine region, Rogue River Valley) and the plethora of cultural activities Southern Oregon offers, making Medford an ideal retirement haven. For us, it was the right move at the right time in our lives. But I was honestly concerned about my mom who, at age 84, we were also bringing with us. We had moved her out to California from New York five years earlier when my dad had passed away, so imagine her shock when I told her that we were planning to move again, and out of state to Oregon to boot! She was pretty apprehensive about the entire idea until we brought her up to Medford for a week and showed her the beautiful new Veranda Park retirement community which offers gracious, independent, hotel-style living to its residents. Mom particularly loves her spacious and sunny apartment, the elegant cruise ship style dining experience, the lovely surrounding residential neighborhood in which she takes her daily walks, and the extraordinarily caring on-site administration and staff. She's made a lot of new friends and feels very safe and secure as part of a new, large, and loving extended family. Mom's favorite hotel is the Bellagio Resort in Las Vegas, and she calls Veranda Park her "Bellagio" of the Northwest. For us, it is comforting that Mom is only five minutes down the hill from our new home in the East Medford hills so that we all can continue to live independent lives but still get to see each other whenever we want. We all love our new lives in Medford. Our souls have found a serene peace here in the beauty of the surrounding mountains, and we feel like we've finally come home again.
